So you should not have to create a databases first mysql -uroot -p cat Cat or less to make sure it looks descent, then import/restore the file.(example above) sed -n '/^-- Current Database: `chosen Db`/,/^-- Current Database: `/p' all | sed -n '/^CREATE TABLE `chosen Table`/,/^DROP TABLE /p' dbname.chosen Restore a table by extracting it from a file dump of all databases Sed can read a file so no need to cat pipe like above - mysqlimport is another tool for importing data: mysql -uroot -p -e 'CREATE DATABASE oses' create database oses from shell mysql -uroot -p -e 'CREATE TABLE oses(id INT, os Name VARCHAR(30), os Description VARCHAR(60))' test Create a table called oses in the test database -e = executes a statement and quits, so mysql can be jacked with from the command line mysql -uroot -p -e 'DESCRIBE oses' test The paranoid could make sure it is as it is...

Updating the pkgdb

We want to hook all the services in Fedora Infrastructure up to send messages to one another over a message bus instead of communicating with each other in heterogenous ways they do now. Each one looks for certain events and fires off tests when appropriate.

We’re writing a python library called Fedora Infrastructure is composed of a number of services (koji, fedpkg, pkgdb, etc..) some of which are maintained outside the Fedora Project and some of which were built in-house by the infrastructure team. Think “how an upstream release becomes a package update”, “How a new source distribution becomes a package.” At present, many of the steps in this process require the maintainer to wait and watch for a previous step to complete. At Linux Fest Northwest (2009), jkeating gave a talk on the problem of complexity in the Fedora infrastructure and how this might be addressed with a message bus architecture.

koji could subscribe to the same topic and provide a callback that updates its local email aliases when invoked.

In koji a couple collection tags need to be made, and a target created to tie them together.

Update Given the complexity of all the changes necessary to create a new build target, the best way to verify is to attempt a build. We create a base collection tag named after the release, and a build tag to hold a few things we use in the buildroots that are not part of the distribution (glibc32/glibc64).Inheritance to the previous release is used for ownership and package data, as well as buildroot content data.Added at: 2015-12-13 Comment of mereh: Hi, I get the following error: pg_upgradecluster 8.4 main psql: FATAL: kein pg_hba.conf-Eintrag f?This proposal reviews existing services in the Fedora infrastructure, reviews the problem of complexity in the interaction of those services, reviews previous work by the Fedora Messaging SIG (special interest group) on AMQP, and introduces an architecture-level description of a solution using 0mq.Other pieces poll others’ status: koji scrapes pkgdb for package-owner relationships and email aliases.
